When you enter somebody’s home, the first thing you pay attention to is either the porch or their hallway. Either of these areas gives you a pretty good idea of what somebody’s home is going to be like and how they live their lives. If the first thing you notice is shoes stacked on top of each other, loose papers, and unopened mail, the chances are that the person’s home is going to be a mess.
